Jan ter Horst (1964) began his career with NautaDutilh in Amsterdam in 1991. He also worked in the New York office. From 1995 to 2001, Jan worked as company lawyer at KLM and Mexx and became very familiar with working from the other side of the table. In 2002, he returned to the legal profession, first to a small office from 2002 to 2003. From 2004, he worked at what is now Eversheds Sutherland in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Besides his own legal work, Jan was also managing partner at this international firm from 2008 to 2013.
Specialisations
His work mainly focuses on advising regarding mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, due diligence, joint ventures and other partnerships, shareholder disputes and general contract law. Jan also acts as mediator.
