Becoming a partner at Legaltree. Do not do this because you feel it is time for a change. Do it particularly because you feel that this day and age requires a different type of attorney-at-law. More enterprising, more dynamic and more efficient. There characteristics you will find in all our partners. What about you? What would working at Legaltree mean for you?
At Legaltree, you are given the opportunity to do what you are good at: advising clients on your area(s) of law. The focus is solely on performing the best work. And you do that together with like-minded attorneys-at-law who, just as you are, experienced and skilled. You are the person who determines how the work has to be done – without trainees, without associates, without office politics. You yourself are responsible for securing your contracts. Being a partner at Legaltree also means that you yourself are in charge of your working hours.
As attorney at law (lawyer) of Legaltree, you have a different kind of contact with clients. You are the first point of contact. You yourself address the matters which otherwise would have been prepared by a trainee. This approach increases your involvement and hence the satisfaction which you derive from your work, because due to the short lines, you can avoid problems with clients. You feel that you are important to your clients, much more than with a traditional law firm.
We are not pro-bono lawyers. Money must be earned, also at Legaltree, but not at the expense of good relations with clients or by means of a billable-hours-dictate. Courtesy of our organisational structure, our hourly fees are competitive. Your way of working does the rest: to the point, pro-active and practice-orientated. Thus, efficiency is not a unique selling point for Legaltree only, but for you especially. This makes it even easier to approach prospects.
All things considered, Legaltree has the best of both worlds: the support and expertise of a ‘traditional’ law firm, but then in a contemporary – digital – setting. Behind the scenes, all is organised professionally, from the administration through to the communication. You have colleagues who are always accessible. This, for example, to act as sparring partner, to discuss questions of matters which are outside your specialisation or to have a chat.
Because everyone is a partner and thus equal, your dealings with each other are different. Contacts are close, open and friendly. Regular meetings of a substantive nature are held, with subjects ranging from current case law to recent developments in legislation and regulations.
If you are ready to broaden your horizon: contact one of the lawyers from your area of law without obligation. Or contact Sander Oorthuys directly, who will be pleased to provide you more information about Legaltree.
