Christine van den Berg specialises in real estate more specifically construction law and tenancy law.

Specialisation

In the field of construction law/general purpose real estate she is involved in drawing up and assessing contracts regarding the sale of immovable property, construction and project development. She provides legal assistance in civil-law actions and arbitration proceedings, as well as giving advice in construction disputes.

In the field of tenancy law Christine assists her clients in preparing and assessing tenancy agreements, particularly in relation to commercial and residential properties. She provides advice or carries out procedures regarding renovation projects, annoyance issues, defects, dissolutions and evictions. In addition she conducts legal proceedings and deals with disputes in the field of tenancy law. Lastly she performs due diligence investigations and risk inventories.

Christine’s motto is: ‘my aim is to act quickly and pragmatically and provide quality services, always putting the client’s interests first’.

Work experience

From 2006 to 2012 Christine van den Berg was employed by the law firm Van den Herik & Verhulst Advocaten. At first she worked as a Salaried Partner and as head of the Real Estate practice group (Tenancy law, Construction law and Procurement law). In 2009 she was appointed shareholder/director, but she retained her position as Head of the Real Estate Practice Group. Earlier Christine was a lawyer with AKD Prinsen van Wijmen NV in Rotterdam for five years, where she worked in the Commercial Real Estate practice group, specializing in Tenancy Law and Construction Law. After she graduated in Dutch Law, she started her career with Schaap en Partners in Rotterdam.

Christine has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Elan Wonen, a housing corporation in Haarlem, since 2019, where on 1 January 2020 she became chair of that same Supervisory Board. Earlier she held the position of chair of the Supervisory Board of the housing association Woningcorporatie Woonstede in Ede for years.
