Attorney-at-law
Liesbeth specializes in administrative law, particularly in environmental and planning law. Environmental and planning law includes spatial planning law (zoning plans and environmental permits) and environmental law (EIA procedures, nature conservation, waste, asbestos, noise, soil and water). Her practice in the field of (general) administrative law particularly concerns enforcement issues (including industrial accidents and the application of the Public Administration (Probity Screening) Act (wet Bibob), procedures under the Government Information (Public Access) Act and subsidies.
Specialisation
Liesbeth enjoys dealing with matters at the interface of administrative law and other types of law, such as enforcement cases, where often it is unclear initially as to whether a breach will be dealt with under the rules of administrative law or criminal law. She also likes to assist in public-private initiatives, where cooperation agreements have to be concluded or public parties join in private initiatives. The fact that she has completed a management course for real estate professionals (MRE) means that she can also operate outside the legal playing field. Liesbeth therefore enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams; with other lawyers, of course, but also with technical professionals in the field of, for example, the environment and valuations. Among her clients are not only companies and national, regional and local authorities, but also consultants.
