Onno Hakvoort

Onno has been involved in various public-private partnership projects in the field of infrastructure (including projects relating to tunnels, locks, motorways and area development projects in the Rotterdam region), as well as government buildings (including projects relating to the construction of prisons, ministries and the building of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands). Onno furthermore has a great deal of experience in real estate financing. Over the years, he has provided advice to various banks with regard to bilateral transactions, club deals and syndicated loans. He has also advised social housing associations and real estate funds in financing their real estate portfolios.

Within Legaltree Onno and Bart Wilton jointly focus on energy transition. Together they apply their knowledge and experience in the field of (project) financing towards sustainable (energy) projects. They have been involved in various projects relating to biomass power plants, heat networks and wind farms.

Onno is an expert in property law and contract law. In his advisory practice, he works both nationally and internationally for banks, financial institutions and borrowers. Onno’s expertise extends to all aspects of advice on financing documentation, he likes to be involved in the negotiations about the basic terms of the credit facility in a term sheet, in setting down and negotiating those terms in the financing documentation and in providing advice on issues that arise during the period of the financing.
