At Legaltree Onno Hakvoort represents the Financing & Securities practice group. He is a passionate and result-oriented lawyer, who focuses on financing transactions, particularly real estate financing, operating capital financing and project financing. Onno has extensive experience in project financing.
Specialisations
Onno has been involved in various public-private partnership infrastructure projects. These projects concerned civil engineering such as tunnels, locks, motorways and development projects in the Rotterdam region, as well as government buildings, such as building prisons, ministries and the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. In addition, Onno has considerable experience in property portfolio financing. Over the years, he has advised various banks regarding bilateral transactions, club deals and syndicated loans. He also advises social housing associations and property funds regarding financing their portfolios.
Within Legaltree, Onno and Bart Wilton focus in the energy transition. They both apply their knowledge and experience of project financing to sustainable and renewable energy projects. They were involved in various projects relating to biomass power plants, heat networks and wind farms.
Onno is an expert in property law and contract law. In his advisory practice, he works nationally and internationally for banks, financial institutions and borrowers. Onno's expertise extends to all aspects of advising on financing documentation. He enjoys being involved in negotiating the baseline conditions of a credit term sheet, recording and negotiating these conditions in the financing documentation and advising on issues that arise during the financing period.
