Sander specialises in contract law. His activities include negotiating and conducting lawsuits involving, for example, agency and distribution law, franchises, contracts and purchase agreements, including company acquisitions.

Specialisations

Sander's expertise covers the entire range: from drafting and negotiating agreements to conducting the relevant legal or arbitration proceedings, including the levying and lifting of attachments. Sander has clients in the national and international retail, manufacturing and wholesale sectors. He regularly publishes articles regarding contract law and is a frequent lecturer for both lawyers and students on subjects such as civil procedures and the techniques for conducting oral pleadings.

Work experience

Before co-founding Legaltree in 2008, Sander Oorthuys worked for more than six years as a lawyer at the Rotterdam office of NautaDutilh, where he specialised in Transport law and Corporate and Commercial litigation.
