Willemijn Lever MRICS has been active as a lawyer since 2002 and specialises in tenancy law and property law. She acts on behalf of municipalities, water boards, property investors, healthcare institutions and housing associations, among others.
Willemijn has a particular interest in cases at the intersection of public and private law.
Specialisations
In the field of tenancy law (office and retail space as well as residential space, including moorings, and undeveloped real estate), she provides advice and representation in matters such as renovation, redevelopment and transformation, termination of tenancy, substitution, defects, and rent adjustments and indexation. Due diligence investigations are also part of her practice. Within real estate law, she advises her clients on issues relating to the purchase and sale of immovable property, leasehold, superficies, easements, neighbour law and acquisitive/liberating prescription (snippergroen). She also regularly litigates on such real estate issues. Clients appreciate her high legal quality and solution-oriented approach. Integrity is an important core value for Willemijn.
Work experience
Willemijn began her career at Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn in the spatial planning practice. She then continued her career at La Gro en Geelkerken Linskens (now merged into La Gro Geelkerken), where she increasingly shifted her focus to (civil) real estate practice and tenancy law. At BRICKS, she further specialised in (commercial) tenancy law. Willemijn has been a partner at Legaltree since 1 May 2017. Willemijn was a member of an Appeals Committee (Lisse and HLT Samen) for over 12 years, the last 7 of which as (deputy) chair.
