Marjolein Westerbeek


Marjolein specialises in individual and collective employment-law matters relating to both the Netherlands and other countries. Her clients are primarily employers, but she also regularly assists (statutory) directors, employees and works councils.


In her consulting and litigation practice, she deals with (collective) dismissal, labor disputes and illness, (change of) terms of employment, transfer of undertaking and outsourcing, equal treatment and co-determination, among others. In particular, Marjolein has experience with (extensive and international) reorganizations. She also negotiates with works councils and unions on behalf of employers in that context.

Work experience

Before her move to Legaltree in September 2015, Marjolein was an employment law attorney at Kennedy Van der Laan in Amsterdam for eleven years (2004 - 2015), where she predominantly advised large (international) employers. During that time she was on several secondments to Liberty Global and NIKE, among others.
