Attorney-at-law
Tamara Novakovski is conscientious and has extensive knowledge and experience of liability law and compensation law. She mostly deals with large and complex cases concerning a range of liability issues, including government liability, regulators' liability, directors' liability and contractual liability. She frequently works together with colleagues specialising in other areas of law. She takes a particular interest in the process of assessing and settling damage, as well as in issues involving causality, attribution and evidence.
Specialisations
You can count on expert legal work tailored to your specific needs and combined with a personal approach. Tamara's ability to empathise with the positions and interests of all parties involved sets her apart as a lawyer. She provides practical advice and offers creative solutions for complicated problems. As a result, many cases can be settled out of court, but when litigation is inevitable, Tamara makes the difference with her critical eye, her keen analyses and her strategic knowledge of procedural law.
Work experience
Before she joined Legaltree, Tamara Novakovski worked at Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn for more than 11 years, where she started as a trainee with a general civil law advisory and litigation practice in the Civil Law group. Over the years, she has developed into an expert in procedural law and has further specialised in liability law and compensation law. Her clients include various Dutch government departments and local governmental bodies, insurers, and businesses, including listed companies.
At the start of her career, Tamara worked more than six years at Rotterdam Court, initially as a court registrar and subsequently as a legal clerk for case management, as a judicial clerk in the civil law group and eventually as a senior judicial clerk in that group.
