Carolien acts for healthcare providers in all sectors. Her clients include boards of directors of healthcare institutions, MSBs (medical specialists' companies), medical specialists and other individual healthcare providers. These clients regularly engage her, also as a mediator), in collaboration/cooperation disputes or as chair/member of investigation committees into the functioning of a medical specialist. Carolien also assists (medical professional) liability insurers. For these clients, she handles all manner of liability issues, disputes relating to Occupational disability insurance, cover issues and fraud cases. With her many years of experience, Carolien knows exactly how to handle a dispute in court. This allows her to think strategically with her clients as a sparring partner. Clients describe her as straightforward, committed, careful and decisive. Carolien prefers to settle her cases in close consultation with the parties and so reach a solution which is acceptable to all.

Work experience

Carolien was sworn in as attorney-at-law in 1990. In 2011, she became a partner at Legaltree, with a break in 2017 and 2018, when she completed her training for the judiciary.
